Wednesday, March 30th, 2011What do you think of this color scheme/decor for my wedding reception?
Wednesday, March 30th, 2011Hi!
We have been lucky enough that my future FIL is letting us use this great old pavilion he restored. It has wood beams, is huge and is all french doors that can all open so rain or shine we have an event space! The pavilion is next to a natural pond and gardens.
Our colors are baby pink, cranberry red and tones of pink that fall between.
We want a formal wedding reception here that also helps bring out the natural beauty of the place. So far we are going to have long tables (about 20ft long) in rows. My future MIL already has white table skirts for these but we were thinking Mauve table cloth to have custom made.
This is the fabric: http://www.customlinen.com/Step2_Linens.cfm?cut=Tablecloth&id=1
And as a ‘table runner’ just doing 8′ wide strips of mirror running the whole length of our tables. On these we will have lots of candles and short flower arrangements.
We know we want to put a lot of emphasis on candlelight. The pavilion has 6 large chandelierss with adjustable light, but we want most of theambientt light to come from candles. We were thinking LED candles on the wooden rafters, but not sure. Every major post around thepavilion has a wall scone candle holder already and we have numerous candle lanterns to light the path ways.
How does all this sound?

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011How can I keep deer out of my vegetable garden this year?
Tuesday, March 29th, 2011I had a gorgeous garden last year, and the deer ended up eating every single tomato, and most of the other vegetables. What they didn’t eat, they trampled on. I want to make sure it doesn’t happen again this year.
I can’t afford a fence, and my garden isn’t that big, and my yard itself is huge…

Tuesday, March 29th, 2011Irrigation sprinkler heads for a vegetable garden.?
Monday, March 28th, 2011Does anyone know of a sprinkler head that I can purchase that has some hoses I can spread out in my vegetable garden. I want to make sure my vegetables get watered everyday and I sometimes can’t because of my little one. I know there are bubblers out there, but I would like something that has like little hoses or maybe just a few hoses I can spread out to make sure all the roots are getting enough water.
Thanks for letting me know!

What are some outdoor wedding venues in Delaware (or surrounding areas)?
Sunday, March 27th, 2011I’m looking for places in Delaware (or right over the line in MD or PA) to have an outdoor wedding.
I looked at places like Hagley museum, and Longwood gardens but Longwood doesn’t allow the ceremony, only photography.
I want my ceremony location to be set up like this:
