      Absolutely!!!!
I use a warm and a cool in a 4′ fixture. I use it to start my seeds too.
Works awesome with African Violets too.
I only use it for 12-13 hrs a day – they do have to sleep too.
Any annuals or perennials or houseplant – even fruit and veggies that require sun or shade will do very well in florescents

fluorescent lights will work just fine. most plants will need at least 8 hours of light.

I use florescent lights in the winter. Hang about 12" from top of tallest plant and using a timer for 14-16 hours a day doesn’t allow me to forget to turn on/off. Setting the time for overnight works great too. Don’t forget to mist plants to keep humidity up.
