Beginner's vegetable gardening?

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011

I REALLY want to grow my own organic vegetables so that when my twins are old enough I can give them the best. However, I know NOTHING about gardening at all. Is there a website that is good for this? Like one made for complete idiots who need thorough instructions and preferably photos as well? Also, is this going to be too much work or will it be reasonable? I will have two babies crawling and walking around and I don’t want to invest tons of time and money into a garden that requires much too much time.

THANK YOU!

    To The Garden

    Tuesday, December 28th, 2010

It’s never too early to start little ones on healthful eating habits. Ask Nina and Jeff, two energetic mini-monsters who live in a garden full of wonderfully nutritious goodies. In To The Garden, these adorable little fiends cultivate a love of fruits and vegetables through fun-filled songs, rhymes and quizzes. “What is that orange thing buried in the ground?” “What are those red balls doing up in that tree?” They plant, hoe, harvest, and picnic their way to teaching kids the importance of fresh produce for a healthy diet. To The Garden makes small appetites grow monstrous for nature’s bounty.

Looking for vegetable gardening advice- squash and zucchini?

    Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

So, this is my first season attempting to plant a garden. I have 5 yellow crookneck squash and 5 zucchini plants- all started at the same time. About half of them are making little squash and zucchini babies, and the other half are flowering, but with no sign of any veggies. Can anyone enlighten me as to why this may be and if I did anything wrong? Or if they will eventually produce? Thanks!
