        indoor garden help!?

        Saturday, August 20th, 2011

I am growing thyme, chives, parsley, cilantro and basil in my kitchen, all but two are sprouting. I am very excited, this is my first time doing anything like this. I have decided to expand my little garden and would like to know what other vegetables and herbs I can grow indoors. I live in Arizona, so it’s way too hot to do anything outside.
        Any help would be nice.

In this video, Betty gives an update on the status of her herb garden, picking a few tomatoes and showing some green tomatoes and pepper plants, along with her rosemary, sage, dill, tarragon, oregano, cilantro, chives, basil, and thyme, flat leaf and curly parsley. After that, Rick and I go to the Farmer’s market to buy some fresh vegetables. I purchase banana peppers, jalapeno peppers, green bell peppers, peaches, yellow squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans, and new potatoes. I will be uploading a recipe tomorrow, using some of these fresh vegetables. I hope you enjoy the trip! –Betty 🙂

Indoor, Herb, vegie, and fruit garden?

              Tuesday, October 26th, 2010

Has anyone ever had a garden indoors, and grew things such as, cilantro, green peppers, tomatoes, chives, pea pods, and small fruit?

I live in Chicago, so I will have to have an indoor garden since our growing season is short.
Ps. I have a backroom facing East that gets a whole bunch of sunshine during the morning and afternoon.

              Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

I grow indoor herbs, Oregano, Basil, Chives and Rosemary. While we don’t mind ladybugs in our home, I was wondering if they will either eat, or harm my plants?

              Indoor Apartment Gardening?

              Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

My husband and I live in a 680 square apartment that sadly DOES NOT have a balcony or any window sills. But in our kitchen we have really deep counters and we want to put small planters along the back of the counters, replacing the fluorescence lights under the counters with grow lights. We already know we are going to grow basil, chives, and rosemary. Our only problem is what else could/should we grow?
