How do i get a rabbit?

Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011

Well.. I have already had one rabbit a few years ago but that died when he was 7 years old… Im now 13 and would like another rabbit, I live in lancaster and i have seen an adoption center just out side lancaster but im unsure about it because they have to check your house and my garden isn’t very big, Also i would like a baby rabbit but i have no idea where to buy them from…. I am using the money i got for christmas!

There’s a hutch at Pets At Home for £55 and it comes with food and accessories like hay and Other things like that but i would like some advice on if it is worth it as just for a single hut its about £80 and i only have around £130 :S I will also want a run which is wort £22 from Pets At Home but is it better to get a cheaper one off somewhere like Ebay?

I need to persuade my mum about it as well she loved my old rabbit Tilly but this time she isn’t sure my dad is fine with it but how can i get my mum to help, I mean i know they need attention and i managed that with tilly and he was fine and i am postive i can do it and also its not her money shes spending its mine and i would just like a new animal, I have a cat who gets on with rabbits very well as when my cousin brought her rabbit round to play with tilly Henry, My cat, Loved the rabbits and was very protective over both of them and now my cat is 16 and is old and not very well and i want a new animal before he goes :/

I am not bothered to much on the breed as long as it doesnt look like tilly i am fine, As i dont want to feel like i have got a second him and find my new rabbit better. Tilly was a lop bunny and they are adorable i would love another one of them in brown or maybe a Dutch Rabbit!

Please can you answer my questions on persuading my mum to get me a rabbit and my cage and where a good place to get them is!
😀 Thank You x

Can't live with parents anymore but there are more important matters at hand?

    Monday, January 24th, 2011

So ever since I can remember I’ve wanted to move out. I currently have a full scholarship at a top 50 university and I am trying to get into med school (biochem major). I work 20 hours a week in a pharmacy and average 0 a month. I am saving up for a summer class worth 00. I commute using my fathers car. With my left over scholarship money I pay my insurance (00) and break even. My mom doesn’t clean the house. I’ve never seen her with a broom in her hand let alone a vacume cleaner. My father retired and all he does is garden. It seems we have more decor than stuff getting done around here. I do it ALL including pipes, drains, laundry, dishes. My mom is a realtor and she never works, she always drops her clients. They are under-appreciative of me and when I get angry she wants to send me to a psychiatrist. My dad won’t let me take a year off between college and medschool. I think this is my best chance of getting in because the GPA goes up senior year. My boyfriend is on my side about everything (duh). My parents are really in my way. They always need me to do more and more and more but my plate is full. Plus my mom is very needy emotionally. She always wants to talk to me but I can’t I have HW or I just want to sleep and she spends money like crazy. It is like the roles of mother and daughter are switched. I am too young to be doing this. I really need an out. What I am asking from the readers is what order to do everything in and HOW.

Are my parents selfish? Or is it Just me?

      Sunday, January 23rd, 2011

Okay, they’ve always been telling me about how when they were little, their moms and dads barely bought them nice things. Now in the future, I feel like this too. I think the nicest thing they bought me is my phone (0). And they always say that everything is too expensive,(yeah right), my mom spends it all on designer Coach and Micheal Kors, and my dad is part of the NRA and he buys really expensive rifles (100-500 dollars) plus bullets and accessories. Look, but we’re pretty much "well-off" my dad is an engineer and my mom an RN(registered nurse) together, their salaries are like A LOT. And I have this friend who lives with only her mom who works as a hair stylist at Super Cuts and bought my friend and her siblings a puppy,(I’ve been wanting one forever), new clothes (Juicy Couture), a new phone (it’s touch screen), but my parents I believe, make more money than her mom. But my parents always tell me that everything I want is expensive, yet they don’t think the stuff they buy are expensive. Once I asked them if we can have dinner at Olive Garden and they told me it’s too expensive, then 2 weeks later they have lunch there with a friend! I also feel like they spend more time at work, they seem like they don’t like being at home with me and my brother. My dad always has meetings on Sundays and my mom has work on New Years day. I am confused….

When should I plant my vegetable garden?

        Wednesday, January 5th, 2011

There’s a bit of disagreement in our household. Hoping ya’ll can help. Hubby and I are planting our first vegetable garden this year. My dad and husband both say that we should plant our seeds in late April. I say mid to late May because of where we live it can frost in May. We live just under 2,000 feet in elevation in West Virginia.

Is it okay to plant a vegetable garden right beside a cemetery?

        Sunday, October 31st, 2010

We live right beside a small cemetery. My dad wants to plant a vegetable garden just a few feet from this. Everyone says that because the bodies were sealed in vaults and buried several feet deep, that there is no harm in doing this. I am still unsure of the idea. Would it be hazardous to plant a garden so close?

What are some nice presents for my family for Christmas?

        Monday, October 11th, 2010

For my mom: I have been giving her homemade gifts for the past few years but this year since I have a job I want to get her something else as well, she is into gardening, interior design, nice furniture/decor, beauty products (aren’t we all?) and classic games like checkers, etc.

For my sister: she despises "typical girly" things like bath and body, makeup, jewlery. She likes food and video games.

For a dad: what are some nice gifts he would like?
