Highway 99, south of Sacramento, giant bronze T-rex. Seen it?

Thursday, October 28th, 2010

I was driving from Sacramento, south on 99 when I saw a garden decor shop and out in the back was this huge T-rex sculpture in bronze. It was incredible. After two days of driving, I’d forgotten the store’s location on the way back up to Sacramento, and looked for it, but couldn’t find it. I don’t recall if it was south of Stockton or perhaps Fresno.
Please, if you know, tell me the town it’s in if not the name of the store.

Thanks

I have old metal Tomato Cages… Any craft suggestions?

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010

I am not interested in dolls or scarecrows, or any seasonal crafts like angels or santas.
I’m more interested in turning the tomato cage into something else for outside garden decor or something useful….. any interesting suggestions?? (helpful instructions would be appreciated too!)

Help me think of a business name. I own several sites all dealing w/ different merchandise.?

Monday, September 20th, 2010

Examples of what I sell/will be selling are childrens toys (educational, summer toys, puzzles), bath sets and candles, and home and garden decor. I think I need a catchall name to cover what I do. I’m completely without ideas. I have read a simple one word three syllables or less is the best. Please help.

i am a greek-american…will i go to hell for having a replica of Venus De Milo in my garden?

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

im not being sarcastic…i am 100 percent worried about this.

I am an american evangelical of Greek background. i am proud of my greek heritage and i have a replica of the famous greek statue "venus de milo" in my yard. the statue portrays the greek goddess aphrodite which was worshipped by the ancient greeks.

i do not worship aphrodite, i worship the Father, Son and Holy ghost. But i read this in the Bible:

Deut 7:26-NEITHER SHALT THOU BRING AN ABOMINATION INTO THINE HOUSE, LEST THOU BE A CURSED THING LIKE IT: BUT THOU SHALT UTTERLY DETEST IT, AND THOU SHALT UTTERLY ABHOR IT; FOR IT IS A CURSED THING.

Deut 27:15-CURSED BE THE MAN THAT MAKETH ANY GRAVEN OR MOLTEN IMAGE, AN ABOMINATION UNTO THE LORD, THE WORK OF THE HANDS OF THE CRAFTSMAN, AND PUTTETH IT IN A SECRET PLACE: AND ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL ANSWER AND SAY, AMEN.

so does this mean that i am cursed for having a replica of a pagan idol in my yard and does this also mean that the people at the garden decor company who made the replica are destined for Hell?

i am hoping this is not true. i do not worship the greek statues…i just think they are of artistic value and good craftsmanship and i am proud of my ethnic heritage.
