Tuesday, December 27th, 2011This is the first video of my veggies this year. I took it March 23 and I am off to a great start. Most of them are potted, but I am going to build a couple of small raised beds as well. This year I have tomatoes, bell pepper, banana pepper, cayenne pepper, pole beans, cherokee yellow wax beans, garden beans, collard greens, onion, mesclun mix and several other leaf lettuce, cucumber, watermelon, canteloupe, and strawberries. Now let’s see how it grows!!!!!

CSR Minute: Nature’s Path & Organic Gardening’s “Gardens for Good” Campaign
Thursday, September 22nd, 2011he Gardens for Good contest, sponsored by Nature’s Path, the maker of organic breakfast foods, and Organic Gardening Magazine, continues to receive applications from urban farms through its Facebook campaign. The competition is awarding 000 for urban farming ideas that produce organic food. Applications are being accepted through the end of this month at facebook.com/naturespath. MGM Resorts International has issued an Environmental Responsibility Report that outlines the company’s strategy, titled “Green Advantage.” By the end of last year MGM Resorts had reduced electric power consumption by 140 million kilowatt hours; reduced carbon emissions by 56000 thousand metric tons; reduced water consumption by 200 million gallons; and diverted more than 33 percent of its waste from local landfills. The company also introduced the first fleet of compressed natural gas-powered limousines, as well as organic and sustainable food programs at its 165 restaurants. CSR Minute: Nature’s Path and Organic Gardening Magazine Partner in Gardens for Good
Tuesday, September 6th, 2011Nature’s Path, the maker of organic breakfast foods, and Organic Gardening magazine have launched a Facebook campaign to give away 000 for urban farming ideas. Gardens for Good 2011 will award the grant money to help urban farms and community gardens produce fresh, organic food. Last year, Gardens for Good funded three gardens, in California, Florida, and British Columbia. Applications are now being accepted at www.facebook.com/naturespath. Rudolf Steiner Social Finance celebrated 150 years of social transformation inspired by Rudolf Steiner with a festival held in San Francisco last Sunday.
