Leatherman MUT – Pruning in the Garden

            Tuesday, August 16th, 2011

A task that had needed to be done for a while now was to prune the lower limbs from a small pine tree in my garden. Over that last year or so the lower branches seem to have dried up quite alot. Having had experience of a similar bush being set on fire in my garden I did not what this one to go the same way whether it was deliberate or not. I decided to use the saw blade of my Leatherman MUT EOD to show the versatility of the tool. As I though the Leatherman MUT performed great and given the size of the branches which were no thicker than 1.5 inch it proved more than capable. Clearly larger saws perform this task of pruning better but it goes to show that multi-tools and in particular Leatherman’s are a great addition to even a gardeners tool kit.
