Will a plant survive if there is no sunlight… what if there is interior lighting… does that work?

Tuesday, June 14th, 2011

I don’t know anything about indoor gardening….. please help. I want to have tropical plants around my indoor pool, but there is no lighting. Will it be affected by chlorine in the air? My husband hate fake plants by the way. Any tips?
okay so I am thinking of lady palms and corn plants, and ficuses

      Help with Indoor aquarium garden?

      Saturday, February 12th, 2011

I’ve had a biOrb aquarium for the last 2 years and as some of you may know there not the greatest when it comes to keeping fish. I’ve decided to get rid of the present fish, give them to a relative or back to the fish store. drain the tank and dump all the decor.
I’m planning to use it as an indoor garden(mini rainforest) plant mini palm trees and tropical plants that are suitable etc…
I’m also planning on making interesting by adding a staircase for an upstairs, a little pond (if possible), mini houses/people surrounded by exotic plants and rocks etc..

Any ideas on how I can start this off?

I’m planning on doing some research first so if there’s anything that’s vital to know before starting up I’d love to know.

Do I need under soil filter?
Does the soil need to be a certain pH?
      What plants would be suitable?

How can I make or where can I buy mini houses/people/stairs. How can I make an upstairs, or platforms?

      Thank You

Can anybody tell me more about vertical glass indoor gardens?

        Friday, August 27th, 2010

I saw one in South America situated in a house. It was a vertical rectangle constructed of glass, 10 metres high, at least 3 metres wide, starting on the ground floor and constructed so it opened onto the roof, thus allowing rainwater to come down.

There was bamboo and other tropical plants within, with sliding doors allowing access from within the house.

I have heard that these were popular in the 1960’s or 1970s but have no other information regarding this.

Can anybody please shed some more light on this please.
